RESIDENCE ‘DUIN & PARK’
Architecture and nature have always seeked each other out, forging relationships throughout history. This project is a symbol of this connection. Sand, dunes and natural stone are the DNA of this design which, in its horizontality, simplicity and éclat have strengthened this place as an anchor and kindly revalues it as a wonderful place to live. A main concern is the addition of added social value when defining and unifying a new place, on a site which doesn’t have much consistency and where every notion of stylized order and architectural serenity is missing. This serenity is present in surrounding nature of the dune-scapes and a fundamental idea to unify the development at the park. Large grass planes combined with alternating patchwork of natural stone shape the layout of the façade which, with accents of etched glass in dune motive absorbs the Yserpark in the residential experience and appeal of this project. A crown of glazed bay windows, sun rooms on the top floor, define the roofscape as an abstracted dune which, in a similar sandy shade and material blinds in to the whole, creating a large “architecturale dune for living” at the Yserpark.
