DETACHED HOUSE Dilbeek
This steel budget residence, which respects the natural slopes and qualities of the area, tries to maximize the accommodation between the occupants and the green surroundings. The transparent box with free plan and light partitions rises from the ground from an open carport/storage room space and some steel match-like support points in the property. The dark green façade at the front characterizes the internal ‘black box’ or darkroom with photographic studio as the engine or heart of the house, and is flanked laterally by the rooms and bathroom. The long living space with open kitchen and lounge to the rear looks out on the forest panorama and forms the living spectacle of the occupants. The edge of the roof is finished on all sides with wood effect synthetic panels which neutralise the small suspended box from its industrial construction and concept.
