White vertical elements in the old facade led to the sunscreen concept in the new design. We added 30 meters to the existing building to ensure a firm statement towards the neighbouring companies. The facade of the elongated volume is perforated for 50%. Considering solar activity, insulation and associated conditioning this was an economic choice as well as an esthetic one. The solar screens in the south facade are made from perforated steel. Their location automatically shifts according to the solar position. The strong vertical ligning forms an abstract skirt around the extended volume. Contrasting the building is topped off by a white hat.
